It's Fact and Fiction Time

I'm a little late in posting this but I still wanted to share.  We read Diary of a Worm for book club this past week.  During book club, we talked about fact and fiction (There is lots of both in Diary of a Worm).  We made a t-chart and decided what was true in the story and what was false.  We also sang along to Dr. Jean!  Last but not least, we created our own!  The punctuation monster had to stop in a few times to remind all my 1st graders to use periods at the end of a sentence!  But since my 1st graders are so brilliant, they came up with some great sentences for FACT and FICTION.  I can't believe our book club is coming to an end!  This Wednesday is our last session.  I hope you're enjoying The Night Before 1st Grade.  :-)
