Spelling City

Hello Parents,

You received a paper home today about an online spelling practice site.  I hope you took the time to read this because this is a wonderful tool!  I would like to give you a little bit more information about the site.  It's a site designed to help students practice their weekly spelling words.  I have already created an account and to access my spelling words, you do NOT need to register for an account.  You just have to go to www.spellingcity.com.  There will be a "Find a List" tab that you should click.  You will need to type my full name:  Jennifer Cianfaglione.  My name should come up in the search results below.  Once you click on my name, it will bring you to all my lists.  I am currently only showing you the first week's list:  Short a 9/21.   If you click on this list, you can choose S-Test.  This is a spelling test online.  You child can sit and type all their spelling words just as if they were in the classroom writing them.  You can also play many games with the words.  I recommend WordSearch, Hang-Mouse, Missing Letter and many more!  It's a great way to practice spelling words in a fun way!  Many students will be reluctant to practicing spelling words each week, but in this format, it doesn't seem like studying to them!   I encourage everyone to check it out!  If you have any questions about the site or need help finding my lists, don't hesitate to contact me!
